Landman Cast: Andy Garcia Nabs Key Role in Paramount+ Series From Yellowstone Creator

According to Deadline, Oscar nominee Andy Garcia has signed on for a key role in Taylor Sheridan‘s newest Paramount+ drama Landman, which will be led by Billy Bob Thornton.

Garcia is expected to portray the character of Galino, who’s described as an extremely capable, powerful and practical man. This marks The Godfather Part III actor’s latest TV project, three years after playing a series regular role in ABC’s short-lived legal dramedy Rebel. He was recently seen in Netflix’s Pain Hustlers movie, alongside Chris Evans and Emily Blunt.

“Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, the series is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs,” reads the logline. “Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”

Landman is created and executive produced by Sheridan and Christian Wallace. The ensemble cast consists of Jon Hamm, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie and Paulina Chávez.
