As production begins on And Just Like That Season 3, Emmy winner Rosie O’Donnell took to Instagram to confirm that she has officially joined the upcoming next installment to Max’s Sex and the City sequel series.
In her Instagram post, O’Donnell revealed that she will be portraying the character of Mary, who’s expected to appear in Season 3, Episode 1 titled, “Outlook Good.” This marks the acclaimed actress’ first TV project in a while, following appearances in 2022 shows like A League of Their Own and American Gigolo. The comedy-drama will return sometime in 2025 on Max.

And Just Like That is written, directed, and executive produced by Michael Patrick King. The Sex and the City spin-off is once again being led by Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, as they reprise their respective roles as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte. Joining them are Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, Alexa Swinton and more. It is also executive produced by Parker, Davis, Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, and John Melfi.
“The new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” reads the logline.
