Andor Video Sees Diego Luna Discuss Making Disney+ Star Wars Series

Ahead of the upcoming 4K steelbook release of Disney+’s Andor, a new behind-the-scenes clip from the first season of the Star Wars series shows Diego Luna talking about what transpired on the set of the critically acclaimed series.

In the new featurette (via Empire), Luna — who plays Cassian Andor in the sci-fi series — looks back on the making of the first season of Andor. The newly shared clip is from the 4K Ultra-HD and Blu-ray of Andor Season 1, which will be available in the US on April 30 and in the UK on July 1.

You can watch the featurette down below:

When is Andor Season 2 coming out?

Originally scheduled for release in August 2024, Andor Season 2 has been delayed to a 2025 release date due to Hollywood strikes. Though it has officially wrapped filming — with Luna celebrating the last day of filming on Instagram — no exact release date has been set for Season 2 of the Star Wars spin-off yet.

In addition to Luna, Andor Season 1 also stars franchise alums Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma. The rest of the cast includes Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, Fiona Shaw as Maarva Andor, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero, Elizabeth Dulau as Kleya Marki, and Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz.

The official synopsis for Andor reads: “The tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. In an era filled with danger, deception, and intrigue, Cassian Andor embarks on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.”

Andor is created by Tony Gilroy and produced by Kate Hazell and David Meanti. Luna and Gilroy also executive produced the series alongside Sanne Wohlenberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Toby Haynes, and Michelle Rejwan.
