Young Sheldon stars are sharing their heartfelt tributes on their social media accounts to mark the upcoming finale of the hit CBS sitcom. Along with director Alex Reid, Iain Armitage and Raegan Revord — who play Sheldon and Missy Cooper, respectively — shared emotional tributes on Instagram as Young Sheldon Season 7 wraps filming for its final episode.
“Today was a wrap on the final season of Young Sheldon. I can’t express how much my time on this show has meant to me. To watch these actors evolve through the years felt like watching my own family grow and change,” Reid wrote.

What to expect in Young Sheldon’s final episode?
Details about the remaining episodes of Young Sheldon are still being kept under wraps, though the hit sitcom will be celebrating the end of things with quite a bang by bringing back The Big Bang Theory alums Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik as guest stars on the series finale. The actors will play both their Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler roles in the May 16 episode of the series.
Though the series is officially ending with its seventh season, a new spin-off focused on Georgie and Mandy is confirmed to have moved out of the development phase. It was also previously reported that the planned spin-off will feature more of Mandy’s family. Little is known about the project at this time, but it is expected to be part of CBS’s 2024–25 slate.
The official synopsis for Young Sheldon reads: “For 12 years on The Big Bang Theory, audiences have come to know the iconic, eccentric, and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This comedy gives us the chance to meet him as a preteen growing up in East Texas, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward, and hopeful journey toward the man he will become.”
