White Collar star Matt Bomer, who played conman Neal Caffery for six seasons, hints at a potential revival of the critically acclaimed procedural drama.
Though Bomer has already established himself as one of the household names in Hollywood, the actor first gained mainstream attention when he starred as Neal in USA Network’s hit series. Since then, Bomer has appeared on different projects — from television shows and movies — and can recently be seen starring opposite Jonathan Bailey in Fellow Travelers.
In an interview with Deadline during The Actor’s Side series, Bomer recalled his time playing his White Collar character and said that fans may be able to see him as the charismatic conman again in the future, as a series revival might already be “in the works.”
“It is possible. I guess it is technically in the works. You know these things are never quite as easy as you’d want them to be — and pretty much all of that is out of our control. It seems to be that they are moving in the right direction, and it could be a very real thing in the next year or two,” said Bomer.
What is White Collar about?
“A white-collar criminal agrees to help the FBI catch other white-collar criminals using his expertise as an art and securities thief, counterfeiter, and conman,” the logline reads.
In addition to Bomer, White Collar also starred Tim DeKay as FBI Special Agent Peter Burke, Tiffani Thiessen as Elizabeth, Willie Garson as Mozzie, Marsha Thomason as FBI Special Agent Diana Berrigan, Hilarie Burton as Sara Ellis, and Sharif Atkins as FBI Special Agent Clinton Jones, among others.
The police procedural drama, created by Jeff Eastin, premiered on USA Network in 2009. All six seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
