A new poster for the upcoming Knuckles Paramount+ spin-off series is out, teasing Knuckles in an outfit long-time fans have been hoping to see return.
The newest poster shows Knuckles tipping a sheriff’s hat down, a reference to a look that the character donned in the two-part 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog original video animation. The hat quickly became a fan-favorite accessory of Knuckles, but wasn’t seen in many other iterations of the character beyond its original appearance.
The Knuckles series features Idris Elba returning to voice the titular Echidna warrior following the character’s live-action debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. In the spin-off, Knuckles agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. It is expected to take place between the events of the sequel and the upcoming third installment, which arrives in theaters on December 20, 2024.
