The first-look photos for the upcoming World War II-set romance drama, The Narrow Road to the Deep North has been released.
The photos feature BAFTA nominee Jacob Elordi as an army surgeon named Dorrigo Evans who falls in love with his uncle’s young wife. The five-part miniseries is expected to debut later this year. Prime Video will be releasing the show in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, while Sony Pictures Television handles its distribution in other territories.
Who’s involved in The Narrow Road to the Deep North?
The Narrow Road to the Deep North will be directed and executive produced by Justin Kurzel from a screenplay written by Shaun Grant. It is based on Richard Flanagan’s novel of the same name. The series also stars Ciarán Hinds as Older Dorrigo Evans, Olivia DeJonge as Ella, Heather Mitchell as Older Ella, Thomas Weatherall as Frank Gardiner, Simon Baker as Keith and more. It is executive produced by Jo Porter, Grant, Flanagan, and Rachel Gardner.
Elordi first gained recognition for his role as Noah Flynn in Netflix’s trilogy of romantic comedy films titled The Kissing Booth. His acting breakthrough came when he joined the cast of HBO’s Zendaya-led teen drama Euphoria. He also received critical praise last year for his back-to-back performances in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla and Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn. Elordi will next be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s all-star adaptation of Frankenstein and Paul Schrader’s drama film Oh, Canada.
