Who is Involved in Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Gordon Cormier headlines Avatar: The Last Airbender as Aang, a young Avatar who must learn to master the four elements – water, earth, fire, and air – to restore balance to the world threatened by the Fire Nation.

Avatar: The Last Airbender also stars Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao.

“Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them,” Netflix’s synopsis reads. “But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world. With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope.”

Based on the Nickelodeon animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender is written and executive produced by Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow), who also serves as the showrunner. Jabbar Raisani, Michael Goi, Roseanne Liang, and Jet Wilkinson are executive producers and directors of the series. Additional executive producers include Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore.

Season 1 premiered on February 22. In the first 11 days, Avatar: The Last Airbender has been the top English TV show on Netflix with 41.1 million views.
