Despite leading her very own Star Wars series as Ahsoka Tano, it seems like Rosario Dawson isn’t closing her doors on the possibility of joining another high-profile franchise.
Before Ahsoka, Dawson portrayed the recurring role of Claire Temple in Netflix’s Marvel shows, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. She was initially introduced as a nurse who had helped Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock/ Daredevil several times with his injuries.
Now that Marvel Studios is finally acknowledging the Netflix Marvel shows as canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Dawson was recently asked by a fan on X if she would be willing to reprise her role in Daredevil: Born Again. She replied with an instant yes by revealing that she still has “unfinished business” left with her character, after five years since last playing Claire in the final season of Luke Cage.
Who’s the cast of Daredevil: Born Again?
Daredevil: Born Again hails from showrunner Dario Scardapane and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moohead (Moon Knight). Besides Cox, Henson and Woll, the upcoming MCU revival will also feature return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/ Punisher, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/ Bullseye. They will be joined by franchise newcomers Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gaston, Nikki M. James, Arty Froushan and Genneya Walton.
Both Cox and D’Onofrio already made their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts in 2021, with Kingpin guest-starring in the Hawkeye series, and Matt Murdock/Daredevil briefly appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In 2022, Cox also had a two-episode appearance on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he showed off a lighter side of the hero. Most recently, Cox and D’Onofrio starred in the Alaqua Cox-led Hawkeye spin-off miniseries Echo.
Production on Daredevil: Born Again is currently underway in New York City.
