Starz has officially welcomed Pitch Perfect alum Brittany Snow to the cast of its upcoming thriller drama The Hunting Wives, which will begin its production this Spring in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Snow has been cast for the leading role of Sophie O’Neil. She will be joining previously announced cast member Malin Åkerman, who is portraying Margo Banks. This marks Snow’s first major TV project as the lead in a long while, after she starred in Fox’s short-lived drama Almost Family.
“The series follows Sophie O’Neil and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo’s irresistible charms — and finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction and murder,” reads the logline.
Who’s involved in The Hunting Wives?
Based on May Cobb’s 2021 thriller novel, The Hunting Wives is executive produced and written by Rebecca Cutter, who will also be set as the showrunner. Alex Alberts, Tara Roy, and Christina Jokanovich are overseeing the project in behalf of Starz, while Scott Herbst and Courtney Mock will oversee for Lionsgate Television. It is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment’s Erwin Stoff and Lionsgate Television, with Cobb executive producing.
