According to Deadline, Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke has signed on for the leading role in the upcoming drama from Reservation Dogs creator Sterlin Harjo. The project has just received an official pilot order from FX as part of Harjo’s overall deal with FX Productions.
Hawke will portray a guy who “knows too much.” This marks the acclaimed actor’s first major TV project as the lead in a while, since last starring in 2020’s The Good Lord Bird and 2022’s Moon Knight. Hawke was most recently seen in Netflix’s apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind.
Who’s involved in The Sensitive Kind?
Described as Tulsa noir, The Sensitive Kind will be created and executive produced by Harjo, who is set as the writer and director on the pilot. In addition to starring, Hawke will also be executive producing along with Garett Basch. This marks Harjo’s second time working with Hawke, who appeared as a guest star on the coming-of-age dramedy Reservation Dogs, which lasted for three seasons from 2021-2023.
