A new trailer for Investigation Discovery’s docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV reveals new allegations against former Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider.
The latest trailer for the four-part docuseries features interviews with former employees who worked under Schneider and allege that working with him was similar to being in an abusive relationship. Schneider’s past first came to light in 2018 when reports surfaced that he not only had a temper, but was also accused of verbally abusing colleagues.
“Working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship,” a former employee says in the trailer. “There was a toxic environment. It made me trust people less,” another Nickelodeon alum alleged.

What do we know about the upcoming docuseries?
The upcoming four-part docuseries is set ti premiere on Investigation Discovery on March 17, 2024, and will chronicle the career of Schneider, who was once a prolific creative for the children’s television brand. Schneider is responsible for many of Nickelodeon’s hit TV series, including The Amanda Show, What I Like About You, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, and Sam & Cat.
The docuseries is directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz and also touches on the allegations that underage stars and crew were treated in an abusive way. In 2018, after allegations of his misconduct came to light, Nickelodeon ended their relationship with Schneider. The producer had reportedly sold a pilot to a different network in 2021, though nothing has come from it.
