The Conners actress and executive producer Sara Gilbert has revealed some details about the upcoming sixth season of the ABC sitcom.
Apart from its comedic nature, The Conners is also known for having different celebrity guests. While Gilbert cannot give anything away at the moment, she swore that they have “a really good one coming up.” In an interview with Looper, Gilbert — who plays Darlene Conner-Olinsky in the sitcom — also revealed who’s coming back in the series.
“Yeah, we got a really good one coming up that I can’t say yet, but I think it’ll be very exciting for people. And then we have some of the fan favorites that we’ve had before. Sean Astin’s coming back. And we have Estelle Parsons, who’s 96 now, who plays my grandmother. She flies in from New York and just comes in and slays it here. She’s so funny and brilliant and young-seeming and I don’t know, we’re all trying to get her secrets,” Gilbert told Looper.
Some of the sitcom’s most memorable guest celebrity stars include Danny Trejo, Justin Long, Cheryl Hines, Dan Aykroyd, and Juliette Lewis.
When is The Conners Season 6 coming out?
Similar to the majority of the series with postponed release dates, the release of The Conner’s sixth season was also delayed from its initial fall release. Season 6 will now premiere on February 7, 2024, and will air its new episodes on ABC before streaming the next day on Hulu.
“After a sudden turn of events, the Conner family is forced to face the daily struggles of life in a way they never have before. This iconic family continues to demonstrate that laughter, conversation and love can overcome anything,” the official synopsis for The Conners reads.
Aside from Gilbert, the show stars John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris-Goldufski, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner, and Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, among others.
