Ahead of its Season 3 premiere sometime this year, Netflix has announced that its historical action drama Vikings: Valhalla will not be coming back for fourth season.
“I am so grateful to have had three seasons to tell the stories of Leif, Harald, and Freydís,” co-creator Jeb Stuart said in a statement (via Tudum). “I knew from the beginning that I wanted to show the evolution of how three of the most famous Vikings became the icons we know today, and we have done just tha. I hope when the audience gets to see the new season, they’ll be excited by all the new heights that we’ve taken these heroes.”
In addition, first-look photos for Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 have also been revealed, teasing the end to Leif, Freydís, and Harald’s voyages. The final season images also feature the introduction of two new characters: Florian Munteanu’s Byzantine general Maniakes and Goran Višnjić’s Erik the Red.
