After a major health scare, Ashley Park confirmed on Instagram that she will be joining the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris.
The actress previously revealed that she is recovering from a critical septic shock, which forced her to extend her stay in the hospital. The actress said that she had contracted tonsillitis, which “spiraled into critical septic shock.”
Now that the Joy Ride actress is now “medically cleared to work,” she also confirmed that she will be continuing her recovery in Paris and that she is excited to join the set for Emily in Paris Season 4. Apart from the health update, the actress also shared a photo of her with co-star Lily Collins.
“I’m deeply moved and thankful for your beautiful messages of support and comfort, your personal stories of sepsis and hospitalization, and truly to every person who has reached out with love,” Park wrote. “I’m sorry for the delay in responses, just wanted to update that I was medically cleared to fly after responding to treatments, and am now recovering and resting in Paris where I was greeted with this incredible warm welcome from loved ones and my Emily In Paris fam.”
The actress then expressed her gratitude to Netflix and the team behind Emily in Paris for their patience as she waits to be medically cleared to work on the forthcoming fourth season.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join [them] all on set for Season 4. I promise [I’m] breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape. In the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles, [Lili Collins],” she added.
Park played Mindy Chen in the series, which served as Emily’s first-ever friend in the city of love.
When is Emily in Paris Season 4 coming out?
The streamer previously announced that Season 4 has already begun production. But while it is already confirmed that the hit series will be returning, the release date for Season 4 has not been set yet.
“When ambitious Chicago marketing exec Emily unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris, she embraces a new life as she juggles work, friends and romance,” the logline for Emily in Paris reads.
In addition to Collins and Park, Emily in Paris also stars Lucas Bravo (Ticket to Paradise), Lucien Laviscount (Last Sentinel), and Camille Razat (Mastemah).
