The Recruit Season 2 Adds Six More to Cast

Netflix (via Variety) has recruited six more stars to join the highly anticipated second season of the spy series The Recruit, which stars Noah Centineo as a CIA lawyer embroiled in a dangerous situation.

No exact release date has been set yet for Season 2, but it is expected to hit the streaming service sometime this year.

Following the announcement of Past Lives star Teo Yoo joining as a series regular, the streamer has added more cast members to join The Recruit Season 2, including Felix Solis (Ozark) as Tom Wallace, Brooke Smith (Grey’s Anatomy) as Marcy Potter, Omar Maskati (Unbelievable) as Jae King, Alana Hawley Purvis (Supergirl) as Amanda Fern, Devika Bhise (Juno Marsh), James Purefoy (The Following) as Oliver Bonner Jones, Do Hyun Shin (Hospital Playlist) as Yoo Jin Lee, Young-Ah Kim (Juvenile Justice) as Grace, and Sanghee Lee (All of Us Are Dead) as Nan Hee.

According to The Wrap, the action series has already started filming Season 2 in Vancouver, Canada, and is set to bring the production to Seoul, South Korea.

What is The Recruit about?

At the beginning of The Recruit’s first season, CIA attorney Owen Hendricks (Centineo) discovered a letter threatening to reveal agency secrets. Owen, who is relatively new to the position, is quickly thrust into the dangerous world of global espionage. The second season is expected to put Owen into another deadly situation — this time in South Korea — where he will discover that the threat is closer than he thinks.

The official synopsis reads: “The series centers around Owen Hendricks (Centineo), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job turns upside down when he discovers a threatening letter by former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who plans to expose the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime. Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.”

The Recruit is created by Alexi Hawley. Hawley also executive produces the show alongside Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol, and Julian Holmes.
