Peacock has released the first images and the release date window for the 2024 mystery drama miniseries Apples Never Fall starring Annette Bening, Sam Neil, and Alison Brie. The series is set to premiere in March 2024 exclusively on Peacock and will also star Jake Lacy, Georgia Flood, Conor Merrigan Turner, and more.
The show will be based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. In a note released by writer, showrunner, and executive producer Melanie Marnich, she called the series “a very honest show” about being in a complicated family and thanked people for watching in the future.
“Ultimately, Apples Never Fall is a very honest show about what it means to be a part of a very complicated family,” reads part of the note. “Which is every family, right? As we always said in the writers’ room… Something really bad might’ve happened at the Delaney’s…but you still wanna swing by for a gin and tonic.”

What is Apples Never Fall about?
The limited drama will revolve around the disappearance of the Delaney family’s matriarch. Bening and Neill have signed on for the respective roles of Joy and Stan Delaney.
“In the series, from the outside, the Delaneys appear to be the perfect family. Stan and Joy have just sold their successful tennis academy and finally have the life of leisure that they thought they wanted,” reads the synopsis. “And while they look forward to spending time with their four grown children, those kids are busy with their own problems. Everything changes when a wounded young woman knocks on Joy and Stan’s door, bringing the excitement they’ve been missing. But when Joy suddenly disappears, her children have to re-examine their parents’ marriage and their family history with fresh and terrified eyes.”
