The first clip from BBC’s newest Doctor Who Christmas special titled “The Church on Ruby Road” has been released, featuring Ncuti Gatwa’s fifteenth Time Lord and Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday discovering a lair of full of goblins.
The clip also provides fans a preview of “The Goblin Song,” as the tiny creatures prepare to feed their Goblin King with a human baby. The Doctor Who Christmas special premieres on December 25 on BBC One, BBCiPlayer, and Disney+.

What to expect in the latest Doctor Who Christmas special?
“The episode sees the Doctor come face-to-face with the mythical and mysterious goblins as his life collides with Ruby Sunday,” reads the logline. “Little is known about Ruby Sunday as she was abandoned on Christmas Eve as a baby. Now living with her mum, Carla and grandmother, Cherry her world is about to be turned upside when she encounters the Doctor and the two set off on their first adventure together.”
The upcoming Doctor Who special “The Church on Ruby Road” will also star Millie Gibson as Ruby, Michelle Greenidge as Ruby’s mum Carla, Angela Wynter as Ruby’s grandmother Cherry and Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood, with Davina McCall as herself.
Set to air in 2024, Doctor Who Season 14 hails from showrunner Russell T. Davies. Joining Gatwa and Gibson are Jonathan Groff, Indira Varma as The Duchess, Aneurin Barnard, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jinkx Monsoon, and Lenny Rush with Jemma Redgrave and Bonnie Langford reprising their respective roles as Kate Stewart and Mel Bush.
