A new photo from My Life is Murder Season 4 highlights Lucy Lawless, confirming that Acorn TV has renewed the series and offering a preview of what to expect.
Debuting in 2019, the mystery dramedy focuses on private investigator Alexa Crowe (Lawless). Fearless in her adventures, Crowe solves some of the most baffling crimes but she also deals with the frustrations of everyday life.

What to know about My Life is Murder Season 4
The new season “focuses on eight new mysteries. Eight new worlds. Eight diabolical killers that only Alexa Crowe can catch,” per the official synopsis. “But this time, Alexa is bringing her friends and family along for the ride: Tech guru Madison is stepping up, contributing her considerable technical skills to Alexa’s investigations and the two of them have fallen into a comfortable mentor-mentee relationship. Though neither of them will ever agree on who is the mentor and who is the student.”
The cast also includes Ebony Vagulans, Joe Naufahu, Martin Henderson, and Rawiri Jobe. Lawless, also an executive producer on the series, said in a statement: “It’s been great getting the gang back together again for this new season of My Life is Murder.”
The Xena star continued: “These episodes have a bit of everything — from homicidal hairdressers to wicked widows, brutal ballet to deadly soufflés, and we are having an absolute ball filming this series once again. I can’t wait for our fans around the world to see the magic that our fabulous cast and crew have been working hard to produce.”
Rachel Antony, Claire Tonkin, Harriet Crampton, Nicky Davies Williams, Pilar Perez, and Don Klees also executive produce.
My Life is Murder Season 4 is currently filming in New Zealand.
