Sky TV has released the trailer for the second season of the BAFTA-winning sci-fi series The Lazarus Project, set to hit the platform on November 15.
The Lazarus Project, described as a “riveting, propulsive, and action-packed 8-part series,” follows app developer George (Paapa Essiedu) as he discovers the Earth’s broken timeline. He then joins a secret organization called The Lazarus Project, where members work hard to save the world from total extinction by turning back time and completely rewriting the past.
However, when an accident harms George’s girlfriend Sarah (Charly Clive), George choses to break all protocols and betray the organization in order to save the love of his life. As a result, he ends up entangled in a vicious, never-ending time loop, which the second season will explore further.
“When the world locks into a never-ending time loop that will ultimately end with the planet’s complete extinction, the Lazarus team must race against time to find a solution before humanity is wiped out forever,” the synopsis for The Lazarus Project Season 2 reads. “Among their number is resolute Lazarus agent, George (Paapa Essiedu), who’s been left in disgrace after betraying the organisation in the name of love.”
