Amazon Studios has revealed two new Invincible Season 2 photos for the highly-anticipated next installment to Prime Video’s hit adult-animated superhero series. It is scheduled to make its return on November 3 with the first half of Season 2.
The photos introduced fans to two new characters in the form of General Telia and Queen Aquaria, who will both be voiced by She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslasny. This won’t be the first time that Emmy winner has portrayed a character in Invincible, as she previously voiced the Queen Lizard in the show’s most recent Atom Eve spin-off special.
Who are General Telia and Queen Aquaria?
According to Gizmodo, General Telia is part of the Coalition of Planets, a organization created to fight against the Viltrumite Empire’s invasion plans. The organization was briefly mentioned by Seth Rogen’s Allen the Alien during the first season.
“A decorated general for the Coalition of Planets with a zero-tolerance policy for Viltrumite aggression,” her full character description reads. “She keeps her private life private—for now.”
Meanwhile, Queen Aquaria is described as a the “sole monarch of the Atlanteans and their undersea kingdom.” She is said to be a “beloved leader who rules with an iron fin.” Queen Aquaria has a personal vendetta against Omni-Man, who murdered her husband Aquarus. She plans to seek revenge for his death “through unconventional means.”
Based on Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s comic book series, Invincible is described as a suspenseful, action-filled, emotion-packed series. The adaptation features the voices of Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Walton Goggins, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Chris Diamantopoulos, and more.
