Only Murders in the Building Takes Murder Mystery to New York With New Immersive Experience

Fans of Only Murders in the Building will have the chance to solve Paul Rudd’s murder. (Don’t worry — it’s only Rudd’s Ben Glenroy character from the hit Hulu series.) The streamer will bring the murder mystery to New York City through an immersive investigation experience.

According to Variety, the upcoming Only Murders in the Building: Backstage at the Goosebury exhibition — inspired by the mystery-comedy’s third season — will be staged in the United Palace Theater, available to the public on September 23 and 24.

The interactive experience will feature a replica of the fictional Goosebury Theater as well as the real props and “Death Rattle Dazzle” costumes featured in the show. The props and costumes will also serve as evidence for guests who will partake in a personal crime scene investigation based on Ben Glenroy’s mysterious demise in the said fictional playhouse.

The Trio Finds Themselves Once Again Investigating a Murder in Season 3

Created by John Hoffman and Steve Martin, Only Murders in the Building follows neighbors — Charles-Haden (Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) — as they utilize their shared obsession with true crime podcasts to solve crimes in their building on the Upper West Side. After solving two murders in the first two seasons, the trio found themselves solving another suspicious death.

Joining the trio are Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin, Tina Fey as Cinda Canning, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Donna Williams, Ryan Broussard as Will Putnam, Jason Veasey as Jonathan, Ashley Park as Kimber, Jesse Williams as Tobert, Jane Lynch as Sazz Pataki, and Jackie Hoffman as Uma Heller, with Rudd playing Ben Glenroy.

The third season of Only Murders in the Building premiered on Hulu on August 8, with new episodes airing weekly on the platform.
