Amazon’s MGM+ has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming docuseries on the notorious serial killer Ed Gein.
Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein features new reveals and never-before-heard recordings that will offer a fresh look into the mind of Gein’s twisted life.

Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein Trailer
Directed by James Buddy Day (Blumhouse‘s Compendium of Horror), the series will also explore Gein’s upbringing and twisted relationship with his mother (the inspiration behind Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho), his early grave robbing, the murders leading up to his arrest, and the police’s discovery of his terrifying house of horrors.
There’s been countless books, shows, movies, and talks on Gein, so it’ll be interesting to see what new information and insight the lost tapes of the title bring to this show.
Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein is set to debut on MGM+ on September 17, 2023.
