AEW Star Cash Wheeler Arrested for Aggravated Assault With a Firearm

All Elite Wrestling superstar Cash Wheeler, real name Daniel Wheeler, was arrested on Friday morning for aggravated assault with a firearm.

Wheeler’s status for AEW All In unclear

According to a report from The Orlando Sentinel, Wheeler was arrested by the Orlando Police Department on Friday after turning himself in. During his arraignment hearing at Orange County Jail, the state noted that Wheeler was involved in an apparent road rage incident, in which the wrestler allegedly flashed a handgun at someone in the process.

Wheeler’s attorney, Matthew Ferry, said that Wheeler didn’t know the person involved in the incident, and requested that his bond be set at $25,000. The judge accepted the requested bond and ordered Wheeler to hand in any weapons, as well as avoid any contact with the alleged victim.

As far as Wheeler’s in-ring career goes, the star is one half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, alongside Dax Harwood, with the two performing under the team name FTR. The duo were set to defend their championships this weekend during AEW’s All In pay-per-view, which is being held overseas in Wembley Stadium in London, England.

While no official decision has been made regarding the status of the match, All Elite Wrestling did say that they were “aware of the charge” and would be closely monitoring the situation.
