Daisy Jones & The Six: Stevie Nicks Reacts to Fleetwood Mac-Inspired Amazon Series

Legendary rockstar Stevie Nicks took to Instagram to share her reaction to Amazon Studios‘ series adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel Daisy Jones & The Six, which was loosely inspired by Nicks’ former band Fleetwood Mac. The iconic singer-songwriter revealed that she has already watch all ten episodes of the music drama twice, which led her to slowly see herself in Riley Keough’s titular character.

In addition, she also hinted her support towards the limited series’ second season renewal, which something fans have been campaigning for online.

“Just finished watching Daisy Jones + the 6 for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story,” Nicks said. “It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story. It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it. Hopefully it will continue…”

Daisy Jones & The Six Nominated for Nine Emmys

After it wrapped up its ten-episode run last March 24, Daisy Jones & The Six has earned nine Emmy nominations including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Keough and Camila Morrone are also currently nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Supporting Actress, respectively.

Daisy Jones & the Six was created by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, with Neustadter and Will Graham serving as showrunners and executive producers. It starred Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.

“The limited musical-drama series detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band,” reads the synopsis. “In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers — Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne — the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.

Executive producers are Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, and James Ponsoldt, with Reid set as a producer. It featured original songs by Grammy Nominated producer Blake Mills and a number of other talented co-writers.
