The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 1 gets a Blu-ray release date, as the Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan spin-off will be available as of Tuesday. September 12. The release, which comes from AMC’s RLJ Entertainment, is now up for pre-order.
According to Comicbook, the Blu-ray will be a two-disc set that includes all six episodes from The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 1. In terms of bonus features, the Blu-ray includes a 35-minute feature titled The Walking Dead: Dead City Live From WonderCon. It focuses on showrunner Eli Jornè discussing the series along with Cohan (Maggie) and Gaius Charles (Perlie Armstrong).

According to the synopsis, the AMC show finds Maggie and Negan (Morgan) in a “post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.” The first six episodes focus on whether the leading duo can trust each other, given their complicated history, as they attempt to rescue Maggie’s son Hershel.
Along with Cohan, Morgan, and Charles, the spin-off’s cast includes Zeljko Ivanek, Mahina Napoleon, Jonathan Higginbotham, Karina Ortiz, and Logan Kim as Maggie’s son Hershel.
Based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic series of the same name, the series is executive produced by Kirkman, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, Joseph Incaprera, Gale Anne Hurd, Denise Huth, and Angela Kang.
