After receiving the go-ahead to finish filming its fourth season amidst the SAG strike, the creator of The Chosen has commented on the series’ interim agreement.
What did The Chosen’s creator say about filming during the SAG strike?
In a statement to Deadline, The Chosen creator Dallas Jenkins expressed his appreciation to SAG-AFTRA for recognizing that “not all productions are the same,” allowing for the completion of Season 4’s filming.
“As an independent show with two weeks remaining to film our current season, we appreciate SAG’s recognition that not all productions are the same,” Jenkins stated. “We’ve agreed to all the terms of their current interim agreement.”
The Chosen is a historical Christian drama that centers on the life of Jesus Christ and the people he interacted with. It was created by Dallas Jenkins and stars Shahar Isaac, Jonathan Roumie, Elizabeth Tabish, Paras Patel, Noah James, and George H. Xanthis.
“A charismatic fisherman struggling with debt,” reads the synopsis. “A troubled woman wrestling with demons. A gifted accountant ostracized from his family and people. In this ground-breaking first season of ‘The Chosen,’ see how Jesus reaches each of these and more as He works His first miracles and embarks on his ministry to change the world. See Him through the eyes of those who knew Him.”
