Family Matters star Jaleel White has revealed that he is part of the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
What is Jaleel White’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew role?
While speaking on Sportsnet during an Edmonton Oilers hockey game, White confirmed that he’s part of the cast of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and that he’s playing a pirate in the forthcoming series.
“I’m actually going to be in a new series on Disney+ starring Jude Law called Skeleton Crew,” White revealed. “Yeah, it’s coming out in … November/December, and it’s part of the Star Wars universe. So that’s a big change for me, man. I had to do two hours of makeup every day. I get to play a pirate.”
Created by Jon Watts and Chris Ford, Skeleton Crew aims to capture the feeling of classic Amblin Entertainment movies. The series will take place after the events of Return of the Jedi. The project previously had the working title of Grammar Rodeo, which is a nod to an episode of The Simpsons that features Bart running away for a week with a stolen car.
The series is also executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kathleen Kennedy and directed by David Lowery. Production on Skeleton Crew wrapped in January.
