Twilight of The Gods: Xilam Animation Joins Zack Snyder’s Netflix Anime

According to Deadline, Xilam Animation (Oggy and the Cockroaches, I Lost My Body) has officially partnered with Netflix for the production of Zack Snyder’s upcoming original anime series Twilight of the Gods. Xilam will serve as the 2D action drama’s animation studio, handling lay-out, background art, animation, and compositing.

“We’re so proud to be working with the team at Stone Quarry, including iconic creator and director Zack Snyder. And we’re also deeply grateful to Netflix for trusting us to bring his spectacular vision to life,” Xilam Animation founder and CEO Marc du Pontavice said in a statement. “We’ll be utilizing state-of-the-art 2D animation across the series, which will include spectacular battles and special effects in the distinctive style that has characterized Zack’s work throughout his illustrious career. This project also marks a significant step forward in our ambitions to bring our expertise into the world of adult action series for global audiences.”

Who is the Voice Cast of Twilight of the Gods?

Twilight of the Gods is created by Zack Snyder, Jay Oliva, and Eric Carrasco, with Snyder also set as the showrunner. Set in the world of Norse mythology, the anime will feature the voices of Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid, Stuart Martin as Leif, Pilou Asbaek as Thor, John Noble as Odin, Paterson Joseph as Loki, Rahul Kohli as Egill, Jamie Clayton as The Seid-Kona, Kristopher Hivju as Andvari, Peter Stormare as Ulfr, Jamie Chung as Hel, Lauren Cohan as Inge, Corey Stroll as Hrafnkel, and more.

It is also executive produced by Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Wesley Coller, with Carrasco producing. The project is a production by The Stone Quarry. Snyder and Olivia are directing.

Apart from Twilight of the Gods, Snyder is also busy working on his other projects with Netflix including the upcoming sci-fi epic movie Rebel Moon and the prequel animated series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
