Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio has tweeted out praise for the upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
While complimenting the cast and crew, D’Onofrio spoke about performing an intense scene for the series with two other cast members, stating that fans have a “lot to look forward to.” The tweet reads:
“So very excited about Daredevil: Born Again. Such an incredible cast and crew. Just finished a big scene yesterday and it was so intense and wonderful working with two of the other cast members. Wow. We all have a lot to look forward to. We meaning, you too.”
Daredevil: Born Again is described as an 18-episode revival of the original Netflix series, which ran for three seasons. It will feature the return of leading stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as they reprise their respective roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
Both characters made their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts in 2021, with Kingpin guest-starring in the Disney+ Hawkeye series and Matt Murdock briefly appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Cox also recently guest-starred in two episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he got to show off a new side of the hero.
In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, the Daredevil revival will also see the long-awaited return of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher. Joining them are Sandrine Holt as Vanessa Fisk, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gaston, Nikki M. James, and Arty Froushan.
Daredevil: Born Again hails from head writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who will also serve as executive producers along with Kevin Feige. The series is currently set to premiere in the spring of 2024 on Disney+.
