The Terminal List Season 2 & Prequel Ordered at Prime Video

Amazon Studios has renewed Chris Pratt’s action thriller drama The Terminal List for a second season.

According to Deadline, the studio has also given a series order to the untitled prequel starring Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards, which officially expands the hit show into a franchise for Prime Video. The outlet’s sources note that the prequel will also be executive produced by The Terminal List showrunner David DiGilio, with Kitsch, Pratt, Jack Carr, and Antoine Fuqua attached to executive produce.

“The untitled project is described as an elevated espionage thriller that follows Ben’s (Kitsch) journey from Navy SEAL to CIA paramilitary operator, exploring the true darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it,” reads the logline.

Based on Jack Carr’s novel of the same name, The Terminal List is written and executive produced by David DiGilio, who is also serving as the showrunner. The series stars Pratt, Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, J.D. Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.

“It follows James Reece after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission,” reads the synopsis. “Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.”

The Terminal List is executive produced by Pratt and Jon Schumacher through their Indivisible Productions, along with Carr, Antoine Fuqua, and Daniel Shattuck. It is a co-production from Amazon Studios and Civic Center Media in association with MRC Television.
