An events planner-turned-women’s prison governor Laura Willis (Catherine Tate), is convinced that creativity is the road to rehabilitating inmates, and to prove her point she orders them to prepare a musical. Hard Cell on Netflix is a satirical comedy set in a fictional prison, HMP Woldsley. Over six weeks, a documentary crew follows the goings-on in the facility and quirky characters as they audition and rehearse for their big show.
