According to Variety, Oscar-winning actor Troy Kotsur has been tapped for a guest-starring role in the upcoming twelfth season of HBO’s acclaimed comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Kotsur is expected to appear in one episode as one of Larry David’s golf club members.
Kotsur gained recognition for his breakout performance as Frank Rossi in Apple Studios’ award-winning family drama CODA. His other acting credits include films like The Number 23 and Universal Signs, as well as one-episode appearances in shows such as Scrubs and Criminal Minds.
Curb Your Enthusiasm stars Seinfeld co-creator Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself in an unsparing but tongue-in-cheek depiction of his fictionalized life. It also stars Susie Essman (Broad City), Jeff Garlin (The Goldbergs), Cheryl Hines (Suburgatory), J.B. Smoove (Mapleworth Murders), Ted Danson (The Good Place), and Richard Lewis (Anything But Love).
“The comedy series continues to prove how seemingly trivial details of one’s day-to-day life — a cold cup of coffee, a stained shirt, a missing toothbrush — can precipitate a catastrophic chain of events,” reads the official description. “To keep the narrative spontaneous, the series is shot without a script and cast members are given scene outlines and improvise lines as they go.”
While it’s currently unknown how many guest stars will appear in the 12th season, the 11th season of the hit comedy saw appearances from the likes of Woody Harrelson, Kaley Cuoco, Bill Hader, Julie Bowen, Lucy Liu, Jon Hamm, Vince Vaughn, Tracey Ullman, Patton Oswalt, Albert Brooks, and Rob Morrow.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was created and is executive produced by David. Executive producers are Garlin, Jeff Schaffer, and Laura Streicher, with Jon Hayman and Steve Leff serving as consulting producers.
