Leap-Frog’s Marvel History
Leap-Frog, a.k.a. Eugene Patilio, is the clumsy villain introduced in She-Hulk Episode 8. In the show, he is a spoiled rich kid who pretends to be a superhero even though he barely manages to handle his costume. In fact, an accident that occurred to Eugene’s costume is what sets the story in motion. While attempting to stop a robbery, Leap-Frog’s boots go on fire, causing some nasty injuries to the masked vigilante. That’s when he calls for Jennifer Walters’ services as a lawyer, suing superheroes’ stylist Luke Jacobson for the malfunction. Jacobson was represented by Matt Murdock, who quickly won the case and exposed Eugene as an imposter. The decision doesn’t sit well with Leap-Frog, who ends up kidnapping Jacobson, forcing She-Hulk and Daredevil to team up against the villain.

In the comics, Leap-Frog is the alias of Vincent Patilio, a failed inventor who resorts to villainous ways due to the scarcity of money. Vincent was also way briefly mentioned in She-Hulk Episode 8, depicted as a very important GLK&H client. Leap-Frog is a villain who relies on his brilliant mind in his clashes with Daredevil, the Defenders, and Iron Man. Created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan, Vincent made his first appearance in Daredevil #25. Starting off as a criminal, Vincent did a wide array of villainous things over the years. Ultimately, he redeemed himself thanks to the help of his son, who acts like a real superhero called Frog-Man in the comics.
