Following his historic Oscar win for his performance in last year’s CODA film, Deadline brings word that Troy Kotsur has finally found his next project in the form of an untitled Disney+ series. Kotsur will be playing the coach of a deaf high school football team in the streamer’s next coming-of-age sports series, which will be based on a real-life football team from a California School for the Deaf.

Kotsur is also set to executive produce along with Oscar winner and CODA co-star Marlee Matlin. The studio partners with the California School of the Deaf and the California Department of Education.
