Arquette (Scream, The Storied Life of A.J. Finky) and Marvel (Homeland, The Dropout) will join a cast that already includes Betty Gilpin, Jake McDorman, Andy McQueen, Ben Chaplin, and Margo Martindale. Details on the series are being kept under wraps as of now, so it’s unclear just who Arquette and Marvel will play in the upcoming series.
Mrs. Davis will be written and executive produced by Damon Lindelof and Tara Hernandez, with the latter set as its showrunner. Black Mirror director Owen Harris has also boarded the project. He will helm multiple episodes and serve as an executive producer.

While not too much is known about Mrs. Davis, the series is being described as an “exploration of faith versus technology — an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions.” Gilpin is set to portray the role of a nun, who will be going up against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence. Jake McDorman will play Gilpin’s rebellious ex, who also has his own personal vendetta against “the Algorithm.”
