Netflix’s Geeked Week event kicked off with a trailer for a brand-new show based on a video game series. Dragon Age: Absolution, set in BioWare’s Dragon Age franchise, is coming to the streaming service this December.
It will be six episodes and take place in Tevinter. Absolution was also created in collaboration with BioWare and will have a new cast of characters that are “authentic to” Dragon Age‘s lore. It’ll have elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and other “special surprises.”

Mairghread Scott is the showrunner and is known for their role on the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, as well as a few Transformers ones. Red Dog Culture House is producing and has worked on The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and The Player Who Can’t Level Up. The cast has not been revealed, but that will likely come at a later date.
