Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, and if it were up to him, he said that he would love to return for his own Darth Vader spin-off.

Speaking to ET Online, Christensen was asked if he’d ever want to be the lead of his own series, perhaps based on one of the many spin-off comics starring Vader. Christensen said that he’d love to do one if given the chance, pointing to the cultural relevance and popularity of a character like Darth Vader as evidence of why it might work.
“Absolutely, I think this is a character that resonates in our culture in a very profound way, and there’s certainly more there to explore,” Christensen said. “There are so many other stories that have been told in these other mediums, and I would love to get to continue my journey with him.”
With the world of Star Wars being such a huge one, large gaps of time have been left unfilled between some of the biggest films. This means it’s not exactly impossible that Disney could develop its own series fully based on the iconic Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan Kenobi sees the return of Ewan McGregor to the Star Wars universe as he reprises his iconic role as the titular Jedi master, whom he famously portrayed in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy. It also features the return of fellow Star War alums Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader and Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars.
