The announcement was made during the ongoing Star Wars Celebration 2022 event, with Watts (who directed the three most recent Spider-Man films for Marvel Studios) on hand to discuss the show and reveal its full name. The series had previously been code-named Grammar Rodeo (a reference to an episode of The Simpsons that sees Bart and his schoolmates steal a car and run away for a week) before its official unveiling today.

Alongside Watts, the series will be written by Christopher Ford, who also worked with Watts as the writer on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Not too much is known about the series or who Jude Law will play as of now, but Watts and Ford described the series as “for kids, but not a kids show.” The series is expected to begin production this summer, with Star Wars mainstays Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni executive producing the series.
