Stephanie McMahon Taking ‘Leave of Absence’ From WWE, Issues Statement

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon has announced that she is stepping away from the company to focus on her family.

The announcement came via a message McMahon sent out on Twitter, with McMahon announcing that she was vacating “the majority” of her responsibilities at the company for the time being. McMahon said that WWE was a “lifelong legacy” for her, and that she looked forward to returning to the company in the future after focusing on her family.

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family,” McMahon said in the statement.

Stephanie has acted as the Chief Brand Officer to WWE since December 2013. She has been married to Paul Levesque (Triple H) since 2003, with Levesque now serving as the executive vice president for Global Talent Strategy & Development of WWE as of 2022. McMahon’s work as WWE’s CBO also saw the brand grow exponentially, with McMahon having recently been honored by the March of Dimes with the Corporate Leadership Award.
