According to Variety, Golden Globe nominee Joseph Gordon-Levitt has officially signed on to join Natasha Lyonne in Peacock’s forthcoming mystery drama titled Poker Face, which hails from Oscar nominee Rian Johnson. As the second cast member announced, further details about his character are still being kept under wraps including the number of episodes he’s set to appear in.

The 10-episode series is created, written, and directed by Johnson, with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman set as executive producers and co-showrunners. The outlet’s sources note that Poker Face would be told through a procedural format featuring Lyonne’s character taking on different murder cases in each episode.
It is executive produced by Johnson, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue for T-Street Productions along with Natasha Lyonne, Maya Rudolph, and Danielle Renfrew through their Animal Pictures banner. It is a production by MRC Television.

This marks Gordon-Levitt’s latest collaboration with the Star Wars: The Last Jedi filmmaker after working together on 2005’s Brick and the 2012 sci-fi thriller Looper. He is currently starring in Showtime’s anthology drama series Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, which has already been renewed for a second season.
