According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ramsey’s role on Ahsoka is currently unknown, but shooting for the series is set to begin sometime later this month, with Ramsey involved in at least one episode. Ramsey is best known for co-directing the hit animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which he worked on alongside Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman.
The job earned him an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, with Ramsey becoming the first Black filmmaker to ever take home the award. For Ramsey, this will mark his first directorial job in a live-action series, with two more — Blood Count and Love in Vain — in the works. His past credits in Hollywood include working as a storyboard artist on films like Fight Club, Men in Black, and Mortal Kombat.
Rosario Dawson stars as Ahsoka Tano in the limited series after the character made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian. Star Wars: Ahsoka is expected to continue the character’s story. Bordizzo is playing Sabine Wren from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.
