Disney+’s The Mandalorian Season 3 Wraps Production

Rocky vet Carl Weathers took to Twitter to reveal that production on the highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian has finally been completed. The filming wrap comes after more than a year since the popular Star Wars series had concluded its eight-episode second season.

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe, the series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order,” reads the synopsis. “We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

The Star Wars series is being led by Pedro Pascal as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Before the new season, Pascal’s Din Djarin previously appeared in last year’s The Book of Boba Fett spin-off. As of now, Carl Weathers and Gian Carlo Esposito are the only returning cast members confirmed for the third season. Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has also joined the upcoming new season for a guest-starring role.
