Netflix’s Space Force Season 2 Premiere Date & First Look

Netflix has released the official premiere date for Space Force Season 2, along with a first look at the comedy’s return in a new poster. Starring Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Steve Carell (The Office, Foxcatcher, The Morning Show), the second season will drop on the streamer on February 18, 2022.

“Season 2 of Space Force picks up with General Naird (Carell) and his underdog team having to prove their worth to a new administration while dealing with interpersonal challenges,” reads the official Season 2 synopsis. “Will the group come together or fall apart under the pressure…? Space Force is only human after all.”

The first season followed a decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird, who is “thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and ‘Spacemen’ are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance,” according to the synopsis.

Along with Carell, returning regulars include Oscar nominee John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, Heart of Darkness, Billions), Emmy winner Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog, Parks and Recreation), Tawny Newsome (Star Trek: Lower Decks, Brockmire), Diana Silvers (Booksmart, Ma), Jimmy O. Yang (Fantasy Island, Crazy Rich Asians), and Don Lake (Zootopia, Downsizing).

Greg Daniels and Norm Hiscock serve as co-showrunners on the series. Space Force is executive produced by Daniels, Carell, Howard Klein, Hiscock, Brent Forrester, and Ken Kwapis. The series is co-created by Carell and Daniels.
