Hulu has debuted the first official photos for the forthcoming limited series titled The Dropout, centering around the rise and downfall of the once-rising entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes. The biographical drama will be available for streaming on March 3, 2022, with the release of the first three episodes.
The Dropout photos, which you can check out below, reveal our first look at Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried as the infamous Theranos founder. She is joined by Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Naveen Andrews as Holmes’ then-boyfriend Sunny Balwani.

Based on the ABC News podcast, The Dropout tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos in a tale of ambition and fame gone wrong. It will explore what caused the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire, once heralded as “the next Steve Jobs,” to lose everything in the blink of an eye.
The miniseries will be led by Amanda Seyfried, who signed on to the project earlier this year after Kate McKinnon exited the leading role that she had been attached to since 2019.
Joining Seyfried are Naveen Andrews, William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Marvel, Stephen Fry, Alan Ruck, Sam Waterston, Kate Burton, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Bill Irwin, Dylan Minnette, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and more.

The Dropout will be executive produced and directed by Michael Showalter, with Elizabeth Meriwether serving as an executive producer and showrunner. ABC News’ Rebecca Jarvis, Liz Heldens, Liz Hannah, Katherine Pope, Victoria Thompson, Taylor Dunn, and Jordana Mollick are executive producing.
