According to a recent report from Deadline, 21 new cast members have been added to the show. The actors include Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney, Jayr Tinaco, and Robert Longstreet.
The 21 actors join a cast that already features some huge names, including Frank Langella, Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, and Carl Lumbly. Not too much is known about The Fall of the House of Usher as of yet, but the title does come from a short story written by Poe in 1839 that deals with the themes of madness, family, isolation, and identity, all of which Flanagan himself has explored throughout his previous works.

The series will reportedly be based on multiple works from legendary author Edgar Allan Poe, and will be an eight-episode series that is being described as “an epic tale of greed, horror, and tragedy.”

Flanagan will also direct the series and serve as executive producer alongside Trevor Macy, Emmy Grinwis, and Michael Fimognari. Flanagan’s relationship with Netflix has been going strong for years now, with the director having worked on a handful of horror projects for the company, with his most recent, Midnight Mass, having released earlier this year to rave reviews.
