The report mentions that sources close to The GWW mention that production on the animated series is set to begin in 2023. The news comes ahead of tomorrow’s Disney+ Day, which is likely to feature a handful of announcements on upcoming projects.

The report also mentions that the project is still a bit fluid, and could go in a handful of directions as of now. The animated series could potentially be a brand new series that Marvel plans to use to introduce the world of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or it could be a potential reboot of the iconic 90s series, or perhaps a revival of that series as well.
