The WWE roster just got a lot lighter as the company released 18 former WWE Superstars today.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp was the first to report many of the WWE releases. Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion and two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nia Jax is the biggest name released. Other surprising names include former NXT titleholders such as Ember Moon, Keith Lee, and Karrion Kross, who was confirmed by PWInsider.

The reason for the releases is said to be budget cuts. This is the latest string of huge WWE releases that have seen former champions like Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt cut from the company. We’ll be sure to update the post if any other wrestlers are released.
