Locke & Key Season 2

Listen to an Exclusive Track From Torin Borrowdale’s Locke & Key Season 2 Score

Netflix’s Locke & Key Season 2 premieres tomorrow and to keep the anticipation building, ComingSoon is premiering an exclusive track from Torin Borrowdale’s score ahead of its digital release.

“Though most of the music from the series is orchestral, since we follow Gabe as the villain for season 2, I felt like his character, with Eden as his henchwoman, possessed a bit more swagger than traditional orchestral instruments provide,” Borrowdale told ComingSoon. “I use more fiery synths and pop-oriented production techniques to delineate their evil intentions which seemed to capture his essence better than the orchestra.”

You can listen to the Locke & Key Season 2 track, titled “Gabe,” below:

“After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death,” says the official synopsis. “As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them. From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), Locke & Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family. Locke and Key on Netflix is the television adaptation of the best-selling comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez for IDW Entertainment.

Torin Borrowdale is one of the most dynamic composers working in film and television today. Throughout his storied career, he’s collaborated with world-class directors and producers to craft indelible scores. Borrowdale recently scored Lionsgate/Hulu’s thriller Run, starring Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen. Run marks his third collaboration with director Aneesh Chaganty, following the moving Mother’s Day spot for Google, “Seeds,” and the Sony Pictures drama Searching, starring John Cho and Debra Messing, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
