A new look at the highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s The Witcher was shown off during their Tudum event on Saturday. The new trailer gave us an updated look at Geralt and the new threats he’ll face this season.

“In Season 2, convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen,” the synopsis reads. “While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Joining them in the second season are a bulk of new characters portrayed by Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve), Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders), Yasen Atour (Young Wallender), Agnes Bjorn, Basil Eidenbenz (Fast and Furious 9), Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl), Mecia Simson (Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model) and more.

The Witcher hails from creator Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who serves as an executive producer and showrunner. Sean Daniel executive produces under his Sean Daniel Company with his partner Jason Brown. Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko of Platige Image also executive produce.
